individual voluntary arrangements (ivas)
As a binding legal agreement with your creditors, individual voluntary arrangements (or IVAs) can often prove an attractive alternative to declaring bankruptcy – giving each creditor some certainties, while providing you with space to work through your insolvency problems. It not only avoids the publicity of bankruptcy, but may also help you keep your job and family home.
It may also be possible to propose an IVA to your creditors, even if you have recently been declared bankrupt.
